I’ve never been a makeup junkie. In fact, I'm one of those people who appreciate those clear enough skin days to keep it minimal #mymakeupgoals. 

Makeup isn't a cover-up; it's a mode of enhancing what's already there, a lil highlighter adds some iridescence to a beautiful smile. Nothing is as beautiful as eyes that are alive and engaged- some well-applied liner and mascara is just the base to coat. A demure sweep of blush coupled with a contouring swipe of bronzer provides the framework for an already beautiful canvas. And lipstick? What do they say about a lady in the right shade of red? Watch your step.

Foundation/Powder/Concealer

This is non branded because I, like many girls don’t have a favorite. Different seasons, stages and skin tones. Find a smoothing/skin tone evening/brightening foundation/concealer/powder that works for you. E.g. some people need oil free while others need the extra shine.

Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush, Peaceful

I feel like this blush actually bounces. It glides on in a clean swipe and stays. ALL DAY LONG.

Physicians Formula Bronzer

Honestly, every skin product from this brand is my favorite. Initially I tried it because of the “physicians formula” clean skin branding, but the bronzers really do feel sun baked.

Laura Geller Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator

All three colors deliver a brilliant highlight without seeming too iridescent, great to dab along the cheekbone, outer upper corner of eye lids and between the cupids bow.

Maybelline SuperStay Matte Ink Liquid Lipstick, Dreamer

These lip colors are long lasting without drying out, the perfect layering base coat; I don’t know about you but I tend to talk and eat. So this usually doesn't last more than 4 hours, but I’m definitely a fan.

Buxom FULL-ON PLUMPING LIP POLISH GLOSS

Buy every color; not kidding, a makeup artist introduced me to the Buxom lip line (shoutout to Makeup By Goldie!) and I've never looked back.

Vaseline

This petroleum is like gold jelly; just don’t shmear over lipstick, it will make the color smudge well beyond the lip line.

Violet Voss Fun Sized Mini Eyeshadow Palette, Crème Brûlée

Choosing a favorite eyeshadow brand/palette is like opening a pandora's box. I don’t want to start up with the Too Faced/Urban Decay die hards- this happens to be a favorite palette du jour. It caught my eye while waiting on the Sephora line, you know those ”fun size minis” that really last multiple seasons? This is it, and I really like it.

L'Oréal Paris Infallible Pro-Last Waterproof Pencil Eyeliner, Bronze

Through makeup trial and error you learn what works and what doesn't. Black eyeliner doesn't open my eyes the way bronze eyeliner does, it's just the right amount of crayon to “thickly rim” but doesn’t seem too heavy because of its toned color.

Maybelline Makeup Great Lash Lots Of Lashes Washable Mascara, Blackest Black

Always a classic, there’s a reason one of these tubes are sold every 2 seconds. Also this mascara coats thickly (non clumpy) and comes off smoothly, which is my favorite part.

Neutrogena Makeup Remover Wipes

Sometimes my favorite part of the makeup process is the fresh faced clear skin feeling once its OFF. Never, ever, go to sleep while wearing makeup. Skin needs to breathe and it just becomes a magnet for radicals in the air, plus clogged pores is the stuff acne is made off (dermatologist lingo, not mine.) These wipes get the job done, my fave ad is seeing a full “face” swiped right onto the wipe ;)

GlamGlow Face Masks

Like a mother who can't choose favorites...and we all know they do :) my top GlamGlow masks faves are the purple (GRAVITYMUD) /iridescent, legit looks like you’re wearing pearls, and the orange (FLASHMUD) because it leaves your skin feeling fresh and exfoliated. Recommended mask duration is 5 - 20 minutes.
