According to Psych Central, self-care is any activity that we do deliberately to take care of our mental, emotional, and physical health. Although it's a simple concept, in theory, it's something we very often overlook. Good self-care is key to improved mood and reduced anxiety. It's also key to a good relationship with oneself and others.
Here is 25 no excuse ways to #youdoyou
1) Do something that makes YOU feel cared for
2) Listen to your favorite playlist
3) Call a friend that makes you laugh
4) Write/sing/dance your feelings
5) Have a GNO with a favorite unwind/classic and some nourishing hydration and nosh
6) Verbally, Seth Godin, recommends everyone should have a Podcast, even if you're not gearing it towards an audience, it's an excellent way to organize your thoughts
7) Sensory; play an instrument (or learn one)
8) Make your bed a screen-free haven
9) Exercise; release energy through physical exertion
10) Take a brisk walk (my version of energetic is a mild gallop but still :)
11) Budgeted retail therapy never broke the bank, #treatyoself
12) Start a blog ;) it makes for a great creative outlet and is easier than you think! Feel free to reach out
