Potentially, Infinitely.
The word potent itself is robust, full overflowing, almost phonesthemic.
Its infinite potential is dual. Anything can or can’t happen. And by anything, toss a coin in the air, while it's midair the outcome you subconsciously want can be equated to your anything.
At the cusp of Motzei Yom Kippur, I'm so happy, content, apprehensive, excited, and complacent as to the potential this year can bring. I love the quote my mother shared, by the Lubavitcher Rebbe, “The gates are closed after Neila but don't worry, you are inside.”
The fear of the unknown is invoked through love; this is how I want to approach the year's potential. That whatever happens is for our good.
It's not easy to recognize that everything that occurs is for our benefit, but looking back on last year gleans a fulfillment towards looking forward.
All the good that transpired was accounted for; each positive interaction, new experience, and quality person…was allotted in our scripts.
I was most relieved when I recognized the backend foresight, e.g., Last year, there were instances that I wanted a specific outcome, the car, the opportunity, the guy, but as the year progressed, my shortsighted result and that of hindsight were able to reconcile. This is why I’m hopeful to move forward. Because if you recognize the good and see the good, it becomes second nature to believe it is all for good and will be good.
